Tyler Chase (He/Him/His) joined the St. Joe Pride Board of Directors with a deep commitment to empathy, authenticity, and community healing. Raised in Savannah and St. Joseph, Missouri, Tyler’s personal journey as a trans man in small-town Missouri shaped his resilience and fueled his passion for ensuring that no member of the LGBTQ+ community has to feel invisible or alone.
Tyler is currently pursuing a career as a trauma counselor and serves as a co-founder of a mental health peer support platform. His professional background in mental health advocacy and his recent appointment to the Pflag board allow him to bring a vital perspective to St. Joe Pride. He focuses on advocating for the transgender community, helping organize fundraisers, and ensuring that the organization remains a beacon of positive representation.
A firm believer that advocacy is most powerful when it is personal, Tyler uses his creative passions—including writing, drawing, and photography—to communicate emotion and foster understanding. Whether he is sharing his own story to give a voice to the voiceless or planning upcoming community events, Tyler is dedicated to turning past challenges into progress for the next generation. For Tyler, pride is about hope made visible and the courage to show up as your authentic self.
